Snow Removal or Snow Bound

It may not snow as often as it used to. But the funny thing is, it may! The truth is, you just never know what old man winter will drop on your doorstep, and so it pays to be prepared.

Maybe you feel like you can dig out yourself, or can call someone if you need it. And if that’s the case, then we are certain you’ll make it work. But if it snows harder than you were expecting, or lasts longer than you can keep up with, the potential problems are plentiful.

It makes sense to plan for the snow and hire a snow removal company. A trusted and reliable snow removal company will bring you peace of mind, knowing that when the snow hits, you have a plan.

But…if you want to take the risk, here are some things to plan for, in case you get trapped at home this winter:

Calling off work

If you think it might snow, make sure your boss knows you might be late. They may or may not understand, but it always helps to prepare people for the unexpected.

Food and Water

If you can’t get out of the driveway, then you certainly shouldn’t be walking to the nearest market. Plan to wait out the storm with nonperishables, and plenty of bottled water in case something happens to the pipes.

Power Outages

Sure, a generator is always a good plan B.

But you should also consider a portable charging device for your smartphones and computer. Without landlines or Wi-Fi, you will need to charge up.

Pets

Keep a bag of pet food on hand. And by all means, bring those little darlings inside. If it snows hard enough that you can’t leave the house, give your pet the same consideration.

Emergencies

Even if you don’t sign up for a guaranteed snow removal service, have the name of one nearby. If you have to get out, or someone has to get in, you’re going to have to call in some help.

We still think it makes sense to put a reliable snow removal company on retainer. Here at Sollars Snow Removal, one low payment covers you for the whole season, no matter how much it snows.

And it will snow.
